However much the judgment of the

Governor might have been warped by the

attacks made on him, the manner in which he

dealt with the

accident is

disgraceful; and it seems to me

to afford & repel, that despite all that has been said & done, the Unofficial

Members of the

Committee §227/1 have much to

acknowledge, and lay

that I have

aroused

some head with great pleasure, the Committee being headed by the Honourable Hugh Gibb, which seems to me to be creditable to him (the Honourable) and to the non-official Members of the

Committee.
